Backyard Food Forest

What is a food forest? What's so great about them? See the new food forage forest at Raumati Eco-Hub, formerly a weedy kikuyu bank. Find out how we designed and developed it, and how you can do it at home.

The idea is to create a sustainable ecosystem where plants and insects work together - less work and better harvests, once you know how!

Bring gloves, we will be doing some planting of supporting species. This workshop is repeated so you have two chances to join in.

This workshop will be run Sunday 15 September 1-2pm, AND Sunday 29 September 2.30-3.30pm, supported by Kāpiti Coast District Council as part of Sustainable September.
