Wairarapa: Sep 8th 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Water divining or dowsing is an ancient art that everyone can learn, with practice.

It was 35 years ago that I went to do a course in Amsterdam and learned how to look for neutral (low energy) locations which are good for sleeping places. High earth energy, which usually means flowing water, is not beneficial to sleep on.

Whenever a new piece of land is to be lived on, it is ideal if a dowser assesses the land before putting pegs in the ground for living spaces and other land uses.

At our gathering on Sunday 8th Sep, each participant will get a practice hazel rod and we will learn some of the basic skills and concepts. We will practice various ways of using our dowsing rods.

We have some potted up trees ready to plant, and we will ask them: are you a seeker of earth energy or are you an avoider? Some trees thrive on crossings for example but most trees are avoiders.

We will spend time scaning the landscape and walk up a steep track to a stone circle, made on a strong energy field or vortex 10 years ago at a previous dowsing event. A medium level of fitness is required for the walk to the stone circle, and we will have a small morning tea up there, please bring any snacks or small things to share if you have capacity.

Dowsing is a very useful skill to have in life, wether it is to find a water source and other underground features, sleep better or in your gardening!

This workshop is limited to 20 places, and if the weather is wet, we have an on-site covered option so the event will go ahead regardless.
